Isle of Tiree
If you live on Coll, Tiree will seem hectic, so many roads to choose from, some double width!
But, I like Tiree and especially the welcome. Of course there's island rivalry but the obvious question can only be answered by one visiting both - and coming to your own conclusion.
There are daily sailings in the summer between the two islands (55 minutes) and from Coll it's possible to take a long day trip to Tiree on a Wednesday or Saturday, the latter, mid summer only.
Tiree, having a larger infrastructure is home to many of the two islands' amenities, Policeman, vet...... and takes our rubbish too !
Tiree's a handy way to fly to Glasgow (and beyond) offering two flights a day. With careful planning one can interconnect with flights or sailings to/from Coll.
