Garden House Camping

Small, isolated, well sheltered campsite to the west end of the island, surrounded by the RSPB reserve. The walled garden is listed by Historic Scotland for its historic value, and association with Breachacha New Castle.
We are a working farm and this means we must conform to DEFRA bio-security codes, and so we ask you to register on arrival.

Tents: Twenty pitches are available in the walled garden.

Mobile/caravan: When booking your mobile or caravan please be sure to give sizes. We have room for two units in front of the house. Others can park inside walled garden if you can fit through the arch, but more space can be found, and that is why we recommend that you book.
Large mobiles and caravans: the turning into the driveway from the village side is tight, and so we suggest that you go to the airport entrance to turn around and approach our driveway from the other direction.

There are some electric hitch up points for mobiles and for tents.

Five minutes from Breachacha beach.

If no one is in, please pitch your tent and we will catch up with you on our return.

Directions: We are five miles from the ferry terminal. Follow the signs for the airport. Go five miles to Uig, take left turn between two white cottages onto private track leading to the walled garden.

Very large motorhomes may find access a problem because of overhanging trees and shrubs down the narrow track to the camping site.
