Moths are now here
The Isle of Coll doesn't have a huge variety of butterflies. Even so, a definitive species list could never be complete so here I'll just show an example of what you may see during your visit.
Coll has many staple Hebridean butterfly species, Common Blue, Dark Green Fritillary, Grayling, Green-veined White, Meadow Brown, Small Heath, ... all those commonly found on machair and bog lands. Migrants and wind-blowns, e.g. Large Heaths, often pop over from the mainland to add to the variety.
