Launch Points on Coll

Small Craft

There is no official or purpose built slipway on the Isle of Coll. The only access to the water for small craft is in the centre of Aringour where the 'beach'    is firm and pebbly as in the photo above.
Access is opposite the Island Café where you'll see a number of parked-up boats.
A 4x4 is recommended.

Jet Skis & PWC
All the waters around Coll, including within the bay of Arinagour, are highly sensitive and abundant in wildlife. The islanders would like to keep it this way and it's difficult to comprehend why anyone would bring a Jet Ski to Coll. Guidance to their nuisance to wildlife can be found on the informative RSPB website.
Apart from that, no one on Coll will appreciate the noise or recognise just how cool you may think you look!

Kayaks

There is no easy access to the water for kayaks as you arrive on Coll via a Calmac ferry. The whole area around the pier is rocky and although not impossible, it's not the easiest of places if your kayak is well loaded.

Good access can be found in the centre of Arinagour, the 'beach'    is firm and close to the roadside. It's, unfortunately, about 900m up the road from Calmac's pier (ferry terminal).
