Foraging on the Isle of Coll
The Isle of Coll is surrounded by pristine waters and enjoys a lot of land left to nature. This allows plenty of opportunities for the collection of wild, natural food. Many locals make the most of this, collecting seaweeds at low tides, mushrooms in the autumn, berries.... and, of course sea food.
This page isn't a definitive or detailed guide but is here to inspire you to seek out and enjoy some of the wonders Coll can offer. There are many, many books and websites to help you do this, please use them as a guide.
