Coll Kids Club
Coll Kids Club volunteers run regular sessions to which locals and visitors are welcome. Times and dates for our sessions are available through the Events section of our Facebook page. Our volunteers are PVG checked and so you can leave your child (excl. Bookbug), but we encourage parents to join in and share a cuppa with us.
Bookbug sessions of story, rhyme and song run weekly in Gaelic and English. Parents and guardians are welcome along with children 5 and under (and pregnant women). Older siblings are welcome to join in. No knowledge of Gaelic is required.
The following sessions are open to locals and visitors, 5 years and over, and of primary school age:
Regular sessions at weekends (games, crafts, etc.)
CoderDojo sessions - introducing kids to coding https://coderdojo.com/
Friday sports - during term time only
Holiday sessions - with the support of Project Trust we aim to run summer sessions of games and activities.
The club works in partnership with Youth Scotland, Argyll & Bute Council and the local primary school, seeking to provide opportunity for Coll kids from birth to 18. In recent years, Coll kids have enjoyed water-sports on Tiree and coasteering with Stramash.
The club relies on regular fundraising activities (lots of cake and coffee!) for general activities and is grateful to Youth Scotland and other charities for funding to assist in providing one-off experiences.
