More information

Hebrides Flat is situated above ‘The Island Café’ in Arinagour with beautiful views over Loch Eatharna.

The flat is suitable for up to 7 with 3 bedrooms comprising one double a triple (one double and one single bed) and a further room with adult-sized bunkbeds and a cot. Both the double and the bunk room have sea views.

The living room and dining area make a great social space for families, with a long table and benches (hand-made on Coll) which can seat 10 comfortably. The lounge overlooks the bay and has plenty of comfy seats, a flat screen tv, dvd player and wifi. There is also a large stock of books, games and playing cards to keep you entertained.

The kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge, freezer, microwave, toaster, slow cooker, washing machine, tumble dryer and a dishwasher. Towels and bedding are provided.

The bathroom has a bath, toilet and sink. A shower will be fitted in September 2016 when the flat will undergo a refurbishment.

We hope you will find everything you need in the flat but if anything comes to mind during your stay please let us know.

The Flat will be ready by 4pm on your day of arrival and we ask that you leave by 10am on the day of departure.

Between these two times the flat will be set up for the next occupants.

If you are arriving early in the day then we will do our best to have the flat ready as early as possible. In any case, there are several places to visit in the village including An Cridhe, the fantastic community centre and arts venue where there is a weekly market from Easter to October selling local crafts and home baking. Also in the village are The Island Café, An Acarsaid Gift Shop, The Art Den and The Coll Hotel.

The Island Cafe is just below the flat and opens at 11.00am, serving fabulous coffee, teas, soft drinks, Scottish beers, wines, pastries, and lunch – sandwiches, soups and savoury meals. The Coll Hotel is open for lunches from midday until 2pm and again for evening meals in The Gannet restaurant.

While in the village or An Cridhe look for notices of events as there is always something going on and a Ceilidh could quite well be happening that very night! An Cridhe has a playing field and indoor sports hall suitable for badminton, table-tennis, netball, indoor hockey and football. There is also a well-equipped gym costing £4 per session. For details, see www.ancridhe.com.

We do hope you’ll enjoy your visit to Coll and make the most of your stay. If there’s anything we can do to help then please let us know and we’ll do our best.

Finally, it is worth remembering to book your car onto the ferry at the earliest opportunity as it often gets booked up in the summer. Foot passengers and cyclists don’t need to book in advance. If you are arriving on foot or by bike then please let us know and we’ll arrange for you to drop off your bags whilst the flat is being cleaned in preparation for your arrival.
